Detailed Program
Day 1: Yangon – Mawlamyine (-/L/-)
Early morning, pick up at your hotel and then drive to Mawlamyine. On the way, you may make some stops for water, photos, meals and so on.
Upon arrival at Mawlamying, transfer to your hotel for check-in.
In the afternoon, if the time permits, you can make a warm-up biking at the city. Don't miss out the ride along the Mawlamyine Strand Road in the evening time to be able to enjoy the sunset.

Day 2: Mawlamyine – Bilu Island – Mawlamyine (B/L/-)
Estimated Biking Distance = 50 Km
Mawlamyine, known as Molmein in the British times, is the 3rd largest city in Myanmar and situated in the south of Myanmar.
After breakfast, mount on the bicycle and start biking to Bilu or Ogre Island (you won’t meet Ogres there!!).
Activities on the island during the Mountain bike cycling excursion;
1. You can visit the very friendly villagers’ house
2. Go up the hill to see the panoramic views including the cycling trail coming towards the hill
3. Visit the home industries such as Rubber-band making, Cigar pipe, and so on
After excursion making a loop on the island, you will ride back to Mawlamyine.

Day 3: Mawlamyine – Thanphyuzayat – Mawlamyine
Estimated Biking Distance = 61 Km
Today, after breakfast, we set off down south of Mawlamyine to Thanphyuzayat where we can study the history of the World War II. Thanphyuzayat is a small town but holds a historical Allied War Cemetery, the Museum of Death Railway and so on.
We can drop in on the way at Win Sein Tawya where the biggest reclining Buddha image is located. Ride along the Mawlamyine – Ye Road with the lime-stone mountains like you are sailing. In the early afternoon, you will arrive at Thanphyuzayat and visit War Cemetery and Museum. After lunch, drive back to Mawlamyine.

Day 4: Mawlamyine – Kor Nat Village – Pa An (B/L/-)
Estimated Biking Distance = 58 Km
Today cycling tour will take you to the most beautiful, Monastery Complex built and donated by the Colonial-Era Burmese Merchant, called U Na Oak. To reach the village, you will have to cross by the bridge over two rivers called Gyaing and Attran Rivers.
You may visit Pomelo Orchards on the way to Kor Nat Village where you will see the best Glass Mosaic decorations and Teak Wooden Buddha Images. The monastery is donated by a Myanmar Well-Known Teak Merchant, U Na Oak. We used to learn about his patriotic battle in terms of inland water transport business against the then Irrawaddy Floatilla Company in the British times.
Walk around the monastery complex and take the pictures of the amazing wood-carvings decorated on the inner walls of the monastic buildings. Sometimes, you will see the European pillar pedestals at some of the buildings.
Then, proceed your ride to Pa An, the capital city of Kayin State.

Day 5: Pa An surrounding bike tour (B/L/-)

Today, we explore the area of Pa An on two wheels; breakfast at the hotel and then, we set off first to Kyauk Ka Lat pagoda which is located in the middle of the lovely pond where you can see the landmark of Kayin State, Mt. Zwekabin Hill.
Then, ride on to the base of Mt. Zwekabin where we can take a look at the 1000-Buddha under Kant Kaw trees. After that, ride towards the cave of Saddan. Pa An is surrounded by the lime-stone caves and mountains and Saddan cave is one of the biggest caves in the area. Take a lovely boat ride at the end of the cave walking and then ride back to Pa An.

Day 6: Pa An – Bilin – Kyaikhto – Kinpun Base Camp (B/L/-)
Estimated Biking Distance = 88 Km
Breakfast at hotel, then we hit the road on two wheels again along towards another destination town of Mon state called Bilin. On the way, we can drop in at another cave called Bayint Nyi Cave where you can take a swim in the hot spring.
Then continue to Bilin. Lunch is on the way at the local restaurant, eat like local.
In the afternoon, we will arrive at the town of Bilin where one of the biggest sugar mills is located. Nearby sugar-cane farmers send all of their produce to process into sugar.
Then, we will load the bikes and transfer in van to Kinpun Base camp for overnight.

Day 7: Kinpun Base Camp – Kyaikhto – Kyaik Htee Saung Pagoda – Golden Rock (B/L/-)
Estimated Biking Distance = 51 Km
After breakfast at the hotel, we ride to Kyaikhto town where you start o biking tour to Kyaik Htee Saung pagoda.
From the main road, ready on your bike and equipped, turn to the rice fields to start the Unspoiled Biking Route to Kyaik Htee Saung Village. The scenes all the way to the Village relax you bit and piece and you never feel tired. Passing by the Mon Villages, you will arrive at the foot of Kaylartha Hill(The history and excavations strongly prove that on the other side of the foot of that hill lies the Thuwuuna Bhumi Kingdom, the Kingdom of the Gold!). Optionally, you can do hiking up the Kaylartha Hill for the awesome views to the Mataban Sea and Bay.
Afterwards, continue your ride on to the Ancient City Wall which is believed to be constructed in the 11th Century. Take a look at the mythical figures curved on the walls and take the photos. Then, you can pay a visit to Kyaik Htee Saung Pagoda.
Then, head to Kinpun Base Camp and then from there take the open truck to Golden Rock.

Day 8: Golden Rock – Bago (B/L/-)
Estimated Biking Distance = 106 Km
Early morning, walk to Golden Rock pagoda and enjoy the marvel of one of the most sacred pagodas in Myanmar.
Then come back to hotel, enjoy breakfast and then, transfer back to Kimpun Base camp and then from there, start our ride back on two wheels to Bago. One of the ancient cities of Mon people. Mon is one of the Ethnic majorities of Myanmar.
Ride along the rolling hills until you reach the border bridge of Sittaung and the river Sittaung. From the bridge, along the Bago-Sittaung Canal built by the British Government during colonial time, the views and sceneries give you awesome ride.
In the afternoon, you will arrive at Bago. Bago, with its wealth and culture, houses most outstanding monuments such as Shwe Maw Daw pagoda, the biggest and tallest Pagoda in Southern Myanmar, Shwe Thar Lyaung (Reclining Buddha) which dates back to centuries and which has the astounding history of its recovery from the bushes, and the Kyaik Pun pagoda with four Giant Buddhas sitting in back-to-back position.

Day 9: Bago – Khayan - Thanlyin – Yangon (B/L/-)
Estimated Biking Distance = 106 Km
Breakfast at the hotel, and then, head towards for the ride along the off-the-beaten-track of Bago – Thanatpin road to Thanlyin. Myanmar people live from farming and along the way, you will see lots and lots of agriculture including rice, duck farms, fish farms and so on.
Small bridges made of wood are seen from time to time while little creeks give you a photo opportunity. Very few tourists visit the area and the road and as for the cyclists, the locals are amazed to see you and therefore, they cheer you up. Lunch is at local restaurant at Khayan.
In the afternoon, ride on to Thongwa town where our bike ride of Lower Myanmar ends. Say goodbye to our bike team and you will be transferred by car to Yangon.

Note: The group size is limited up to maximum number of 6 pax so that we can give the full attention to all travellers in a way of close intimacy. We guarantee the departure when the minimum of 2 cyclists are confirmed. For solo travellers, we are happy to welcome them as always and they can have their own room as long as the single supplement is paid. Nevertheless, a shared room with another same-sex solo cyclist can be arranged at no extra cost. As for 2 days, the bike rental fees are included in the fare. However, if you bring your own bike we will deduct the bicycle fees accordingly from the total cost.
